Description
The data in this dataset is derived from the study presented in the 11th International Conference on Energy and Sustainability (september 2025), to be publicated in the volume of WIT Transactions on Ecology and the Environment.
This geospatial dataset refers to the solar resource assessment on the drOp project in Ermua (Spain), in particular in the pilot neighbourhood of Santa Ana, and the photovoltaics (PV) deployment potential on roofs. The dataset is composed by one raster layer and one vectorial layer:
solar resource Santa Ana.tif
Solar resource raster file with 1m x 1m spatial resolution, assessing the annual global radiation over surface (considering the current slope and aspect of each point), expressed on kWh/m2·year
PV potential Santa Ana.geojson
Rooftop PV potential of each building in Santa Ana neighbourhood built over cadastral geometry (vectorial file). Solar resource values have been crosschecked with neighbourhood's roofs, filtering the useful surfaces based on determined slope, aspect and radiation thresholds. Each building include the following KPIs:
"Roof area [m2]": area of the building footprint based on cadastral geometry
"Aver. Rad [kWh/m2year]": annual global solar radiation on surface (average value for the whole area)
"Useful area for PV [m2]": considered useful area for PV surface once geometry and practicity restrictions have been applied
"Aver. Rad on useful area [kWh/m2year]": annual global solar radiation on the useful PV surface
"PV power [kW]": potential PV power that could be installed in the useful surface with an average market module (2024)
"Elect. Generation[kWh/year]": achievable average annual renewable electricity production
"Saved emissions [kgCO2/year]": achievable average annual equivalent CO2 emissions saving
