Ainhoa Egizabal, BSc in Biological Sciences has been working for Tecnalia (previously Inasmet) since 1993. She is a project manager and has more than 25 years of research experience in managing and developing national and international proposals and projects (both with public funding and for private companies)  at the Health Division of Tecnalia. Her experience is related to the evaluation of the health effects of materials, the functionality of biomaterials and the biocompatibility of medical devices. In the last years her research interest has been focused on nanotoxicology and she has been working in projects dealing with the hazard evaluation of nanoparticles and nanomaterials, adaptation of conventional toxicological procedures to their special features and the development of new ones. She is the author of several scientific publications in journals and conferences.
