Dr. Aitor Gómez Goiri is a computer engineer and industrial organization engineer from the University of Deusto (2008). He holds a master's degree in software solutions development (University of Deusto, 2010) and earned his PhD in computer science from the same university in 2014. He began his professional career as a researcher in semantic technologies, distributed systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT) at DeustoTech, where he participated in numerous research projects and published numerous scientific papers from 2008 to 2014. Additionally, he completed predoctoral stays at Lancaster University (UK) and ETH Zürich (Switzerland). From 2015 to 2016, he worked at the Open University (Milton Keynes, UK) on European projects in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). From 2016 to 2019, he worked at IKERLAN, within the 'Big Data architectures' group, on projects related to Industry 4.0, improving industrial products by sending their operational data to a Big Data infrastructure on the Internet and monitoring them through user-friendly web applications. Since July 2019, he has been working as a researcher in the DIGITAL operational unit of Tecnalia Research & Innovation on cybersecurity projects, applying technologies to achieve decentralized solutions that ensure the privacy, immutability, and transparency of data in projects across various industrial and construction fields.
