Telecommunications Engineer by the University of the Basque Country. After finishing her studies, she worked at the AHOLAB Signal Processing Laboratory in the same university, and at the “Centro de Estudios e Investigaciones Técnicas de Gipuzkoa (CEIT)” Research Organisation. In 2006 she began working as a software developer in CIDEMCO, Research Centre that became part of TECNALIA in January 2011. Since then, she has participated in ICT related Research and Development projects in several fields, such as machine vision, Internet of Things or smart buildings and cities. She is currently a Senior Researcher of TECNALIA’s Energy, Climate and Urban Transitions unit. She works in projects related to the digitalization of the construction sector and the development of smart platforms for management, monitoring and control of buildings and urban environments. She is currently combining this activity with her PhD studies at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of the Basque Country. Her research is focused on semantic web technologies, developing ontologies and exploiting knowledge graphs to foster the interoperability among semantic context models and IoT network data in the context of Digital Twins.
