Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering (2015), Master's degree in Integration of Renewable Energies into the Electrical System, M.Sc. (2016), and Doctorate in Electrical Energy Systems (2020) from UPV/EHU, with the completion of the doctoral thesis entitled "Development of Optimal Energy Management and Sizing Strategies for Large-Scale Electrical Storage Systems supporting Renewable Energy Sources", with Cum Laude mention and international distinction, as a visiting researcher in 2018 at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

 

With work experience as a researcher since 2016 in the BRTA alliance and at Tecnalia (since 2021) in the Energy, Climate Change and Urban Transition Unit of TECNALIA, assuming technical responsibility and leadership in European projects H2020/Horizon Europe, regional projects (Elkartek, Hazitek), national projects (Misiones), and as a project manager in SUDOE Interreg, as well as in various projects under contract with companies. The main research topics of interest are in: 1) design and development of algorithms for control and operation of the electrical system and optimal power flows in the medium and low voltage network; 2) design and development of optimization algorithms and energy management strategies for energy communities, electric vehicle charging, hybrid renewable energy plants, balance and flexibility services, electricity markets, and local flexibility markets; and 3) laboratory activities involving real-time simulation platforms. Author of over 20 scientific publications in high-impact journals and indexed international conferences.
