I have 19 years working experience as a postdoc, senior researcher, lecturer, or research assistant in various leading universities such as Tohoku University (Japan), Kyoto Pharmaceutical University (Japan), Monash University (Australia), Singapore Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Alabama University (USA). At TECNALIA as head of waste valorization department and deputy director of circularity area and MONOLITHOS as CTO. Working in TECNALIA (From April 2012 to Sep 2023) gave me an opportunity to work in raw materials sector by collaborating with various universities, research centers and companies in Europe, also integrating with European Commission and EIT RM with several projects, especially as a coordinator. I was also the TECNALIA representative of ERMA until 2023. Working as CTO at MONOLITHOS (from Sep 2023 to May 2024) gave me opportunity to help the company to push the ¨projects to products¨ for commercialization. Currently, I work as a principal investigator at TECNALIA (from Oct 2024 onward) helping researchers to push key assets for exploitation and helping them to develop their key value propositions with associated technologies. Through my carrier in ionic liquids and hydrometallurgy, I have given several invited speeches and key notes lectures, especially, in the critical raw material field. I hold over 30 publications in high impact journals, over 8 patents and 3 book chapters.
