Ana Fernández-Navamuel, Industrial Engineer from the University of Cantabria (UC) since 2018, obtained her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2022, conducting her doctoral thesis with a dual affiliation between Tecnalia and the BCAM (Basque Center for Applied Mathematics). Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at both centers, participating in projects funded by the European Union, the Spanish Ministry, and the Basque government, leading tasks related to the implementation of artificial intelligence algorithms for (i) identification of damages in civil infrastructure (FUTURAL, FORESEE, BEYONDEERS, TCRINI), (ii) wind structures (MATHEO, IA4TES, ERROTAID), or hydrogen (iii) (H2LEAK). Her scientific interests focus on the development of Deep Learning algorithms that incorporate the physical knowledge of the system's behavior (hybrid supervised learning) with applications in the field of construction and clean energy generation. She also actively works on scientific publications in high-quality (Q1) journals related to her research field, most of them in close collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP).
