Ana Isabel Torre. Graduated in Computer Engineering from the University of Deusto, Master in Advanced Computer Systems, and PhD in Computer Science from the University of the Basque Country (EHU). For three years, she collaborated with the IT Service of the University of Deusto, performing general Oracle database administration tasks, as well as new developments and Oracle/JavaEE maintenance. Later, for another three years, she worked as an Oracle/Java analyst at DesinorData S.A., where she carried out consulting and development tasks until she had the opportunity to further her education through a pre-doctoral scholarship from the Iñaki Goenaga Foundation. She is currently a researcher for the Tecnalia corporation in the OPTIMA Business Area, focusing on topics related to Big Data, parallel computing, and Semantic Web. Therefore, her work involves collaborating on proposals, evaluating new technologies, and designing/implementing projects in the areas of Semantic Web (RDF storage, new approaches for querying, semantic integration, or ontology mapping) and Big Data/Big Data Analytics, focusing on storage, transformation (ETL), and batch or real-time analysis/querying. Her latest research focuses on operationalizing analytical processes in productive environments in the domains of Industry 4.0, energy, or transportation, and investigating data governance around concepts such as sharing or quality.
