Ángel Longueira Romero is a researcher at TECNALIA Research & Innovation in the Cybersecurity group. He holds a degree in industrial electronics and automatic engineering and a master's degree in automation and industrial computing, both from the Polytechnic School of Engineering of Gijón (EPIG) and the University of Oviedo. He specialized in industrial robotics and optical industrial inspection techniques. He holds a PhD in cybersecurity from Mondragon University, having developed his thesis on embedded systems and vulnerability analysis.

His most recent research activity has been oriented towards the quantitative analysis of vulnerabilities in embedded systems, in the development of cybersecurity metrics aggregation techniques. More specifically, in the application of directed graphs and Bayesian networks for the representation and analysis of dependencies between existing vulnerabilities in an embedded system. He collaborates in national and international research projects such as REMEDY, TRUSTEE, BEACON, SONETO, OMEGA-X, ENERSHARE, and VeriDevOps.
