Title of Administrative Assistant specialized in Management Informatics (1998) and Higher Technician in Computer Systems Administration (2000) from the San Luís Center in Bilbao. Since 2000, he has been working as a researcher at TECNALIA, currently collaborating in the Cybersecurity group of the DIGITAL Operational Unit. Angel has experience in the fields of Analysis, Design, and Programming, with Eclipse MDE technology, Java and C# programming languages, application servers (Tomcat, IIS), relational databases PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL, and performing Ethical Hacking tasks with Kali Linux. Specifically, he has been responsible for conducting practical cybersecurity exercises for IT/OT professionals in Critical Infrastructure in the energy sector in South American countries.

He has a long research career in European projects, highlighting his participation in the European BIOPOOL project, which won first place in the EARTO 2014 European Innovation Award. Additionally, he was the technical manager of WHITEZONE, a cybersecurity product from Tecnalia under European patent EP3144841A1 for the protection of control centers of critical infrastructures against malware from portable storage devices.

Currently, he is involved in research projects in the field of cybersecurity for electrical substations and the automotive sector. Regarding cybersecurity projects, he has participated in European research projects such as SPARTA, ELECTRON, and PRECINT, and in national research projects such as SECURE-WORLD, BCSI40, REMEDY, or SEGRES.

Finally, he is part of the Cyber-Range team and is responsible for the Cyber-Range infrastructures at Tecnalia. Within the group, he designs, develops, and directs the resolution of cyber-exercises, "set" in corporate (IT) and/or industrial (OT) networks for the training and individual or collective training of cybersecurity professionals and students.
