Angel Luis Pérez Basante received his B.Eng. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Valladolid, Spain, in 2006, his M.Eng. degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain, in 2012, and his Ph.D. degree in Advanced Electronic Systems Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Spain, in 2017. Since March 2017, he has been working as a researcher with Tecnalia Research & Innovation in the Energy, Climate and Urban Transition Unit. From December 2012 to December 2016, he was a Ph.D. student in the Applied Electronics Research Team (APERT) at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in collaboration with Tecnalia Research & Innovation. In addition, from September 2015 to December 2015, he was a visiting researcher at the Chair of Power Electronics at the Christian Albrechts University, Kiel, Germany. His primary research interests encompass multilevel converters, advanced modulation and control strategies, power semiconductor reliability, and the stability analysis of electrical systems.
