ShortBio
Dr Argitxu Esquivel López obtained her doctorate in Biomedicine at Pompeu Fabra University in 2018. In addition, she has a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry in 2012, and a Master's Degree in Forensic Analysis in 2013, both at University of the Basque Country. She has 10 years of experience, 5 of them focused on the study of the metabolism of anabolic steroids using liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS), specifically the identification of new markers that allow improving the detection of these substances in the field of doping control in sport. After that, she was involved as a postdoctoral researcher in Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA) being responsible for the area of bioanalysis by LC-MS. Since 2020, she is working in Food and Health area of Tecnalia, being leader of the UPLC-MS/MS instrument for the development of analytical methods; and also in metabolomics area through high resolution mass spectrometry (QTOF). During these years she has published a total of 11 publications in magazines, of which 5 of them as first author; She has participated in 10 national and international projects, and has presented a total of 16 oral communications or posters in national and international conferences.
