Aritz Villodas Arechavaleta

Industrial Engineer, graduated from ETSII Bilbao in 2001. Currently, he is a senior researcher in the DIGITAL unit at TECNALIA, where he manages and develops Digital Services projects applied to image processing, augmented reality, interaction, mobility, security, robotics, and digital payments, in the fields of Industry 4.0, tourism, and the service sector. He has also developed artificial vision projects at the university (Systems Department of ETSII Bilbao 1998-2001) and at CVC-Siemsa Norte (2000-2001). From 2001 to 2003, he was part of the Environmental Department at Labein-Tecnalia as an Acoustics specialist, and from 2003 to 2007, through the consultancy Idom Ingeniería (2003-2004), and at Gamesa Eólica (2004-2007), he was responsible for acoustic projects in wind turbines, as well as other tasks in the monitoring area (temperatures, power curve, communications, and sensors). In 2007, he joined Robotiker-Tecnalia, where he began working on Image Processing projects applied to the fields of security (surveillance, biometrics, etc.), industry (quality control, 3D measurements, etc.), interactivity, and entertainment.
