Asier Gil de Muro: M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (1998) from the School of Engineering of the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao (Spain).

Since January 1999 to date, researcher and project manager at the Energy and Environmental Division of TECNALIA in the smart grid area, working in projects dealing with power electronics equipment, design and developing of grid interconnected power devices and stability analysis of the converters in the time and frequency domain. He is also involved in projects related with the control of Microgrids and active distribution. He is mainly related with the hardware and firmware design of testing prototypes and the control algorithms and stability. He participated in several European funded projects (DGFACTS, DINEMO, FENIX, MICROGRIDS, MORE-MICROGRIDS, IGREENGRID, etc.). He has ben also a professor in the School of Engineering of the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao in the Electronic and Telecommunication department.
