Master degree and PhD (2010) in Chemistry by the University of the Basque Country. I possess extensive knowledge in synthesis, processing by additive technologies, and characterization of polymers and composite materials. My experience focuses on the development of innovative biomaterials and processing for their application in implants, regenerative medicine, advanced therapies, in vitro and in vivo diagnostic devices. My research activity is reflected in over 40 international scientific articles (h-index=13, Scopus) and more than 50 conference contributions. Additionally, I am a co-inventor of three patent applications. I have participated in and led numerous national, international, and private research projects in the Biomaterials and Biosensors sector.
Currently, I lead the Biomaterials Area at TECNALIA focused on the development of personalized products and services in the stages of prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment. The area works on:

🔸 Innovative biomaterials for regenerative medicine, advanced therapies and 3D in vitro models

🔸 The precision and reliability of in vitro and in vivo monitoring and diagnostic systems, achieving portability and precision in Point-of-care systems and transdermal patches, respectively

🔸 Biocompatibility services for Medical Devices under ISO 10993 under BPLs
