He holds a degree in Physics from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV) in 2005, and later obtained the certification of International Welding Engineer in 2021.
He began his career as a researcher in the manufacturing processes department of the Fatronik Foundation in 2005, where he worked on technologies such as plasma welding additive manufacturing, friction welding and welding process monitoring. This experience led him to develop skills in research and development of joining technologies, which led him to join the Industry and Transport division of Tecnalia.
Currently, he develops R&D projects related to joining technologies, including vacuum brazing, orbital welding, arc welding and electron beam welding (EBW). Additionally, he participates in cutting-edge projects in the science industry, such as nuclear fusion reactors and particle accelerators, combining research tasks and project management. He has shared his knowledge through several presentations and publications on welding-related topics.
