MSc Telecommunication Engineering (Tecnun, Universidad de Navarra, 2007), M.A.St. (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, 2009), PhD Scientific and Applied Computing (Universidad de Alcalá, 2013). In 2008, he was awarded a research scholarship from the National Institute for Aerospace Technology and in 2013 he read his PhD dissertation statistical-efficiently solving the Direction of Arrival estimation problem with a Single Snapshot by means of metaheuristic optimization. For two and a half years, he continued his scientific work at the NATO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation developing target detection, tracking and imaging algorithms for real radar signal data as well as sensor fusion algorithms. In 2017 he joined Tecnalia Research and Innovation as a Researcher and Data Scientist. After a period of three years working for a fund management firm where he reached a Managing Director position as Head of Quantitative Research, he returned to Tecnalia as a Senior Researcher and Data Scientist. He has published 20 contributions to international journals and conferences, 9 of which as the first author.
