Msc. Carmen Pastor is Head of European Programmes at the Health division in TECNALIA. She is Bachelor in Computer Science (from the University of Deusto, Spain) and MSc. in Artificial Intelligence (from the University of Essex, UK). She has extensive expertise in the elaboration of proposals for EU R&D&I projects, having also participated in several R&D projects and CSAs in the area of active and healthy ageing.
She is actively involved in different platforms and working groups both at national and EU level in the area of Healthy Ageing and AAL (Ambient Assisted Living), such as EARTO WG ETH (EARTO Working Group on Emerging Technologies for Healthcare) and eVIA platform (Spanish Technological platform for health and wellbeing). She has been involved in the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA), being TECNALIA representative in several AGs (C2 and A3) till 2016.
Nowadays she is a TECNALIA operative representative in the EIT HEALTH association, being Tecnalia a core partner. The EIT HEALTH promotes healthy living, active ageing and improvements in healthcare by bringing together leading healthcare companies across multiple industry sectors, public and private research centres, and top universities.
Finally, she has participated in the organisation of the AAL FORUM 2018, coorganised by the Biscay Regional Council, being the project manager of the Forum. Previously, she participated in the Scientific Committee and organisation of the AAL SUMMIT 2012, EU conference entitled “Market and Policy Development for an Aging Society”.
