Cristina Regueiro is a Telecommunications Engineer (2010) with a PhD in Information Technology and Communications in Mobile Networks (2017) from the University of the Basque Country. She has an extensive research experience in fields such as wireless communications and cybersecurity, having participated in numerous research projects (Basque Government, MINECO and Europe).
She started as a Researcher at the University of the Basque Country on issues related to the digital signals processing, wireless, and mobile communications (2011-2017). She continued her research work at the Innovalia Association (2017-2018) with a deep focus on industrial communications, Industry 4.0, IoT, fog and cloud computing. Her cybersecurity experience was later completed at Ikerlan (2018-2019) taking part in the Cybersecure IoT and Cybersecurity on Digital Platforms teams. In December 2019, she joined the Cybersecurity and Blockchain team within Tecnalia, where she is currently a Senior Researcher with focus on cybersecurity solutions, blockchain-based systems and prinvacy enhancing technologies, such as multiparty computation and homomorphic encryption.
