Daniel Múgica Vargas is a Telecommunications Engineer, specializing in Telematics, from the Higher School of Telecommunications Engineering of Bilbao (UPV-EHU 1996). He began his professional career as a Researcher at Robotiker in 1994, where he participated in numerous R&D projects in the area of access networks and broadband networks. During this period, from 1994 to 2010, he gained extensive experience in the electronic (hardware) design of digital telecommunication systems and in the design of programmable logic systems (FPGAs). Between 1998 and 2000, he worked as a professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto.

He currently works as a senior Researcher in the DIGITAL unit of Tecnalia, developing artificial vision projects.
