Mr. Daniel Valencia holds a degree in Physics from the University of Valladolid (2010) and an Executive Master's Degree in Innovation from the EOI business school (2012). He also holds a Master of Science in Molecular Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (2013).

 

Since 2010, Mr. Valencia has worked in the field of building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) product development. Initially, he contributed to the R&D department of Onyx Solar, and since early 2016, he has been a member of the Solar Area at Tecnalia, where he has focused on the domains of integrated photovoltaics (IPV) and bifacial photovoltaics. He has actively participated in numerous R&D European projects, contributing to activities related to simulation, architectural integration, prototyping and analysis of standards. Since 2024, he wroks as a Senior Researcher at Tecnalia, where he coordinates and promotes projects and initiatives in the field of IPV. He is also a member of the Spanish certification committee AEN/CTN 82 and is a co-author of three patents for BIPV products, one of which is currently being commercialised.
