MSc Civil Engineer (2006) and PhD in Structural Engineering and Mechanics (2016) from the University of Cantabria (UC). More than 10 years of experience in bridge and structure design, structural health monitoring and bridge inspection, and civil engineering projects at Louis Berger International Design Center (a WSP company). Since 2016 Senior Researcher in the area of Smart and Resilient Infrastructures at Tecnalia, participating in several national and international relevant projects (H2020 RAGTIME, FASSTbridge project_ERA-NET Plus Infravation, H2020 FORESEE and HE LIAISON). Co-director of more than 10 Master's theses at the University of Cantabria (UC) and 1 Doctoral thesis at UPV/EHU. Currently co-director of 2 doctoral theses in collaboration with both universities. Member of ACHE (Spanish Scientific and Technical Association of Structural Concrete), AEND (Spanish Association of Non-Destructive Testing) and EVACES. Also founding member of the Spanish IABMAS group (International Association for Bridges, Management and Safety) and journal reviewer. 3 international patents and 2 software. Honoured lecturer and director of the Aula Tecnalia at UC.
