Telecommunications Engineer from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) and Doctor in Information Technologies from the University of Alcalá de Henares (UAH). Her professional experience began at Oesía Network managing the data network of the Eroski group. Subsequently, she was selected for a predoctoral fellowship from the Iñaki Goenaga Foundation at Robotiker, which allowed her to start her research career in the area of meta-heuristics, designing multi-objective algorithms and solving NP-hard optimization problems in different domains. She has worked for years as a researcher participating in projects related to the development of algorithms and optimization techniques in the field of energy efficiency in tertiary buildings, as well as the design of prediction techniques to adjust photovoltaic generation to demand and optimize battery use. Similarly, more recently, she has participated in projects related to the development of prediction and predictive maintenance systems in Industry 4.0 and smart analytics for personalized medicine in the Health sector. She is currently responsible for the Core AI within the DIGITAL business area at TECNALIA. In her research work, she is co-author of a patent, more than 15 articles in international journals, and more than 20 articles in international conferences. She has also co-supervised 2 theses and is a reviewer for both AI sector journals and international conferences.
