Elisabet Andrés García (PhD) is researcher within the Waste Valorization Group at Tecnalia (Spain). She pursued her PhD (2018) in Chemical Engineering at The University of Queensland (Australia) where she did her thesis on the development a novel decentralised wastewater (i.e., greywater) treatment system combining adsorption and electrochemical oxidation/disinfection. From January 2018 until October 2018, whe worked at the Separation and Conversion Technologies Section of the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) (Belgium) where she valorised metallic nanoparticles electrochemically recovered from geothermal brines within the H2020-CHPM2030 project. In February 2019 she worked as innovation consultant for PNO in different H2020 projects (incl. REE4EU, CROCODILE, PLATIRUS) and in August 2019 she moved to work as Scientific Officer at the European Recycling Industries Confederation (EuRIC) (Belgium) to address the technical aspects that arise from the interface between chemicals, products, and waste legislation that directly affect the activity of European recyclers. From May 2021, she joined TECNALIA (Spain) to work as Project Manager.
