ShortBio
Estibaliz Amparan Calonge obtained her degree in Electronic and Industrial Automation Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV). She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Computational Engineering and Intelligent Systems at the University of the Basque Country.
She has been a member of the Tecnalia Research and Innovation foundation since 2016. She has worked within the "Cybersecurity and Safety" group, researching the safety of Embedded Systems and developing a fault injection tool. She has participated in various European research projects such as AMASS (an open platform for the assurance and certification of cyber-physical systems) and eITUS (infrastructure for the development of safe robotic systems). These projects are dedicated to developing new concepts that allow the creation of methodologies and tools to improve the safety level of systems.
Currently, she is working on the evaluation of safety and security where cyber-attacks can affect the physical integrity of the system or people. Within the SPARTA project (Strategic Programs for Advanced Research and Technology in Europe) focused on safety and security co-engineering, using ISO 26262 and J3061, defining requirements through the use of the "Common Criteria" standard, and developing security mechanisms for connected vehicles.
