Personal profile

ShortBio

Senior researcher at TECNALIA (Industry and Mobility Unit, Manufacturing Process and Materials Area). PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering and Technical Engineering in Mechanics. Master of Science (MSc) in Computational Engineering and Intelligent Systems, and Specialist University Degree in Projects of Predictive Data Analytics for Industry 4.0. All of them at the University of the Basque Country.

In charge of the ICME by Tecnalia Research Line, which focuses on the development and application of Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME), integrating different simulation tools into multi-scale modeling strategies capable of simulating processes, microstructure, properties, and material performance. Her specialization focuses on modeling, both through numerical simulation techniques (FEM, CFD, etc.) and machine learning techniques, and in their combination with optimization algorithms. Additionally, she has experience in the development of scientific software. All of this focused mainly on aspects related to the metallic materials industry

She has more than 25 years of experience in these technologies because of her involvement in more than 90 projects of R+D+i for different sectors, mainly for the foundry industry. As a project of particular relevance may be mentioned her participation in the TriboLAB project, which involved the design and control from Earth of a tribology laboratory which was operating in the International Space Station during the years 2008 and 2009.

She appears as co-author in 26 indexed publications (15 journals, 10 conferences and 1 book chapter) as well as various non indexed publications (3 journals, 11 conferences) and diffusion workshops (16).
