Personal profile
ShortBio
Graduate Chemistry (1990), Master in Environmental Technology and Management (1997) and Ph.D. in Chemistry (2005) from the University of the Basque Country, (Spain).
She has a long work career in Tecnalia Research & Innovation in different departments. She began her work as Project Manager in 1995, in the environmental area, researching and developing new products and new environmentally friendly cleaner processes and improvement of current ones. Her career has focused on chemical synthesis and environmental sector processes and counts with experience in project management of regional, national and European research and Innovation collaborative projects in these fields.
Since 2014, she joined the Biorefinery and Bioproduct Department of TECNALIA Research & Innovation, Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), where she worked on the synthesis of bioproducts of industrial interest from renewable raw materials through biotechnological and chemical processes, as well as on their separation and purification processes. As a result of the research and patents in this area, Tecnalia R&I, together with the investment fund Kereon, Partners founded the company BIOSYNCAUCHO, of which she became R&D Responsible in 2017. Since July 2024, she has rejoined Tecnalia R&I as a Project Manager in the Circularity Platform of the Energy, Climate and Urban Transition Area.
She is author and co-author of several publications, patents and communications to national and international congresses.
