Personal profile
ShortBio
Dr Goran Bijelic, International Business Development Manager in TECNALIA, and former director of Biomaterials department, obtained Licentiate degree in Surface Chemistry, at KTH Stockholm, Surface Chemistry Dpt. in a group of Prof Per Claesson, as a part of Marie Currie RTN Biocontrol student program. Licentiate thesis and two papers are based on investigation of interfacial behaviour and intractions of polymer brushes and lipids. He has a BSc degree since 2001 and MSc degree since 2006, both from the Faculty of Physical Chemistry in Belgrade. His MSc thesis includes two publications and a patent on biomedical matrix electrode arrays. His research experience, with over 40 publications, 5 patents (including above mentioned), creation of 2 IP bassed SMEs, a CE marked medical device and a number of clinical prototypes, is in the field of biomedical engineering and biomaterials. With a continuous R&D CEO experience since 2001. He is a WP leader in five H2020 projects: R2R Biofluidics, SAFE-N-MEDTECH, NeuroStimSpinal, NextGenMicrofluidics, and SIXTHSENSE.
