Mr. Guillermo Gil is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has worked his professional career in the field of R&D in the digital domain with a strong background in strategy design and implementation, business development, marketing, and team building. At TECNALIA, he has been working since 2022 in the Quantum Technologies team in the conceptualization, design, and development of new emerging opportunities for the industrial application of these technologies. He has worked mainly in the development of complex initiatives that are the result of the combination of digital disciplines applied to the needs and problems of different sectors, both in the national market and, for more than six years, in the Latin American market, mainly In Colombia.
He participates in national and international committees and working groups related to the development of ICTs and the information society. He has promoted, coordinated, and participated in many research, development, and innovation projects for the market and for public funding frameworks, including the Framework Programs of the European Union. Since 2019 he has been a lecturer at the University of Deusto, Faculty of Engineering and collaborator with the University of the Basque Country for the master’s degree in Digital Manufacturing.
