Dr. Héctor Lozano Computer Engineer from the University of the Basque Country since June 2005, MBA Master in Business Administration and Management from the University of the Basque Country in January 2007, PhD in Telecommunications in 2016 and degree in physiotherapy in 2022. In 2007 he joined Robotiker-Tecnalia in the Health division. He is currently developing his research work in Tecnalia, in the area of Medical Technologies. His doctoral thesis based on signal analysis and processing has allowed him to focus his activity on several projects such as EXOTEK (Elkartek) focused on the development of a BMI for rehabilitation of stroke-affected patients through the processing of EMG signals and the use of exoskeletons, BEDMOND (AAL 1st call) and RUBICON (FP7 European Project) focused on monitoring the activity of people in the home and identifying behavior patterns and deviations as a tool for the early detection of disorders, SMARTEX (Hazitek) oriented to therapy through exercises based on muscle fatigue detected through electromyography signals, or NEUROMOD (Elkartek) focused on the improvement of sleep quality and memory consolidation through the analysis of encephalography and stimulation waves.
