BSc/MSc in Telecommunication Engineering, MSc in Telemedicine and Bioengineering. For 10 years I worked as a researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Technical University of Madrid) in the field of Telemedicine focused on three main areas: patient self-empowerment; well-being and cardiometabolic syndrome prevention; and trust and reputation mechanisms applied to medical systems, obtaining an international PhD (cum laude) in Biomedical Engineering in the last-mentioned area
I have been engaged in a wide range of European, national and regional projects, proving a proactive and flexible attitude, proposing innovative solutions and the use of disruptive technologies; first as a pre-doctoral researcher at UPM until 2016, and then as the main researcher and technical coordinator at Optiva Media. I led Optiva’s Research & Innovation Area boosting its innovation programmes, and promoting the application of technologies like AI, BigData, LiFi, and/or XR to the TV and audiovisual content consumption domains
From May 2024 I’m working as Project Manager and funding facilitator at the Core Visual of the Digital Unit of Tecnalia Research & Innovation. I coordinate Core Visual’s involvement in collaborative research initiatives where computer vision and/or XR technologies play a relevant role; raising public funding through the participation in highly competitive open calls, where I lead the concept definition and contribute to the writing of the project proposal.
