Iñigo Arizaga is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, graduating in 1989. In October of the same year, he began his professional career as an Associate Researcher and Project Director at the TELETEK Telecommunications Technology Center. After the merger of TELETEK with the ROBOTIKER foundation, he worked until 1997 as a Senior Researcher and Project Director in the Telecommunications and Electronics Equipment Department of this center. That year, he began leading the Radiocommunications Group within the Telecommunications Technologies Department. Between 2001 and 2010, he was the Scientific Director of the Wireless Technologies Unit. Concurrently, he was a professor of the Communications Electronics course at the ESIDE Faculty of the University of Deusto from 2002 to 2005. Between June 2010 and January 2012, he led the Telecommunications Unit within the ICT Division of TECNALIA. Since January 2012, he has served as the Technology Director in the ICT Division until January 2022, when he began leading the Quantum Technologies team in the new Digital Unit of TECNALIA, within which the quantum sensing laboratory was developed, bringing together the necessary capabilities for sensor manufacturing from base material production to device integration.
