ShortBio
Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Industrial Engineering by the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao (UPV/EHU, 2015) with a Master’s degree (MSc) in Industrial Technology (UPV/EHU, 2017) (expertise in energy technologies). PhD by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU, 2023) with a Thesis work on energy planning and modelling at city scale (“Integrated long-term city energy planning. Methodology for the modelling and prospective assessment of urban energy systems”). For more than seven years he has been developing his research career in the Energy Planning group at TECNALIA (Energy, Climate and Urban Transition unit). His work encompasses the modelling and simulation of energy systems and the definition of energy transition scenarios, also focusing on the development and monitoring of integrated energy strategies for the decarbonisation of cities and territories, and on the impact assessment of different energy technologies in the urban and regional environment. He has participated in numerous European and national projects, and contributed as both author and co-author in several scientific publications.
