He graduated as a mechanical technical engineer in 1995 and a materials engineer in 2004 from the University of the Basque Country - UPV/EHU, a master's degree in production management from Mondragon University - MU in 1997, and a PhD in Condensed Matter Chemistry from the University of Bordeaux in 2011.
3 years of experience in Processes (MESA – Schneider group), 7 years of work in processes, head of mini-factory and fusion at NEMAK SPAIN, and industrial director at RECICLAIR. More than 10 years of experience in the foundry and recycling sector. Since 2007 he has been working at Tecnalia-BRTA, as a project manager in the metal processing area.
His work has focused mainly on the research and development of new lightweight metallic materials, the development of new alloys and the recovery of metals from complex waste, and optimization and development of casting processes, with training and on-site advice to companies. Experience in GIGACASTING.
Principal inventor of 15 European patents, responsible for more than 60 regional, national, and European projects, participating as a speaker and president in several congresses and with more than 50 publications and presentations in congresses. Award for the best scientific paper at the World Foundry Congress 2018.
