Ibon Vicente Figueirido, a graduate (2017) and master’s degree holder (2019) in Industrial Technology Engineering, specialised in Electrical Engineering from the Bilbao School of Engineering, UPV/EHU. He is currently pursuing his doctoral thesis within the PhD programme in Information and Communication Technologies in Mobile Networks at the Bilbao School of Engineering, UPV/EHU.  

Since joining Tecnalia R&I, he has primarily worked on projects related to the simulation, planning, and modelling of electrical systems, the application of data analytics techniques to smart electricity meters, and the development of algorithms for enabling flexibility in the electricity market. Prior to his role at Tecnalia, he worked in the applications and development (R&D) area of ZIV Grid Automation, focusing on projects related to the simulation and protection of electrical systems. He also undertook a doctoral research stay as a visiting researcher at Hubbell Research, part of HUBBELL INC., the parent company of ACLARA and other subsidiaries.  

Ibon is the lead author of four indexed publications and has three more under review.
