ShortBio

PhD in Advanced Materials Engineering (2011) from the School of Industrial and Telecommunications Engineering in Bilbao, and Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering (2001) from the University of the Basque Country. In 2001, I began as a researcher in the Pathology and Rehabilitation area of the Construction Unit at TECNALIA, working on projects related to the diagnosis, restoration, and preservation of inorganic materials in historical buildings. In 2003, I joined the powder metallurgy research group at the CEIT research center, gaining knowledge about new aluminum alloys and skills in optical and electron microscopy for material characterization. Currently, I have 17 years of experience working in the Next Construction area of the Energy, Climate, and Urban Transition Unit at Tecnalia, as a researcher in R&D&I projects in the field of Circular Economy for the valorization of complex waste streams, development of new materials, and low environmental impact cements. I combine research activities with responsibilities as the head of the laboratory of the Traceability and Circularity platform. The results of my research work have been published in 14 indexed publications.
