Graduate in Chemistry (1997), and Ph.D. in Chemistry (2006) in the field of Biomaterials, from the University of the Basque Country, Spain. From 2002 until nowadays, she has worked as a researcher in the development of coatings formulations for a Paint manufacturer SME (6 years) and in TECNALIA R&I (before CIDEMCO) technological centre (11 years). She counts with experience in project management of regional, national and European research projects in the field of paints, and validation of new developed biomass-derived chemicals for coatings. She has taken part in several EU projects (AG-COAT, SURFASAM, HYCORE, EFFACEUR, DURABROADS, ECOBIOFOR, BASAJAUN, LIGNICOAT). In the period 2014-2017, she was Project Coordinator of ECOBIOFOR “Ecological bio-based formulations”. Author/co-author of 6 papers and several conference communications in national and international forums. She has 22 years of experience in the field of polymeric systems and coatings. Currently Senior Researcher of the Circularity Area (Energy, Climate and Urban Transition Unit).
