Degree in Chemistry by the Basque Country University. She works in TECNALIA since 2000 as a member of the research staff of Processing of Plastics and Composites Dept, gaining a wide experience in composites manufacturing processes for different sectors such as Automotive, Aeronautics and Wind Power. Her work has been focused on the development of different research lines, as the natural fibres based composites and the recycling of carbon reinforced composites. Since 2004, and now from the Aerospace dept. her work is mostly related to the development of nanocomposites with enhanced mechanical, electrical and thermal properties, performing technical tasks in the frame of both, private and public funded projects, especially in manufacturing (dispersing) and characterizing nanocomposites, and its incorporation in common processing methods for the manufacturing of multifunctional composites. She is also involved in the manufacturing of Buckypapers (Carbon Nanotube based continuous sheets) and their integration in current manufacturing processes for different applications in sectors such as Aeronautical, Automotive, Construction and Energy.
