Graduated in Physical Sciences (University of the Basque Country, 1987), she is currently project manager in the Health Division of TECNALIA. Participanting proposals generation, and R&D projects management in the area of Neurorehabilitation. Tecnalia's activity is oriented towards new solutions generation, and devices for the Health field, specifically for the assessment, treatment and/or functional rehabilitation. One of the areas in which she currently works is aging and the prevention of frailty.
At the begining of her professional stage, started in 1988 at Robotiker (currently Tecnalia), she participated in R&D and consulting projects focused on industrial robotics and industrial process automation solutions.
In 2004 she moved to Technologies for Health and Quality of Life area, participating as senior researcher and project manager in national and European R&D projects related to ICT solutions for Health and Quality of Life of people with disabilities and the elderly. Within this field, in 2006 she was part of the team that was awarded the ONCE award for R&D of new support technologies for people with visual limitations, and in 2015 the Vodafone award for innovation in support solutions for a solution aimed at the hearing impaired.
Since 2011 she has been part of the Health Division of TECNALIA, having managed Assistive Technologies area until 2015 and currently she is manager of R&D projects in the Neurorehabilitation department of the Health Division of TECNALIA.
