Igone Revilla is a Project Director in Tecnalia´s City, Territory and Environment Team.
Post- Graduate Diploma in Urban Planning by the University of Westminster, London and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Urban Sociology by the Basque Country University. More than 15 years of experience in R&D projects in Tecnalia including integrating social aspects in the sustainable development of cities, identifying barriers and constraints for policy implementation to the design of participation strategies associated to heritage conservation, sustainable regeneration and energy efficiency rehabilitation of urban areas. Particularly she has been in involved in directing urban regeneration and heritage conservation projects aimed at encouraging dialogue and cooperation between communities. She has a broad international management experience leading in projects in Central and Latin America, Middle East and Europe.
Previous experience in UK and Spain includes working in planning policy with local authorities, coordinating urban design, accessibility and conservation and regeneration policies with special emphasis on policy recommendation to outreach end users. She has also worked in the private sector as a consultant for local authorities involving citizen participation in large scale urban projects dealing with pedestrian mobility in cities and regeneration of public spaces.
