ShortBio
Iker Lasa Ojanguren graduated in Physics from the University of the Basque Country (09/2013-03/2018). During this period, he spent a semester in Germany as part of the Erasmus+ program, specifically at the University of Ulm (09/2016-03/2017). He obtained a Master's degree in Mathematical Research, Statistical Modeling, and Programming from the University of the Basque Country in 2019 (2018-2019) and a 'Full-time MSc. degree in Data Analytics, with distinction' from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2020 (2019-2020). During this same period, in 2018, he joined the data analysis team at Ormazabal as a part-time data scientist. He completed both master's degrees with final projects in collaboration with the company, related to the design of algorithms based on smart meter data and combinatorial optimization techniques. From September 2020 to November 2023, he was fully dedicated to Ormazabal. Since December 2023, he has been working in the Digital Unit of Tecnalia, specifically in Core Software Technologies. His area of study is the use of language models to improve and automate software engineering processes.
