Irene López de Vallejo has more than 25 years’ experience across the public and private sectors, spanning the full value chain of research, development and innovation in the UK and Europe. Over this time, she has driven technological innovation in deep tech, contributed to the creation of international ecosystems, and advanced solutions designed to address major business and societal challenges. Her expertise covers R&D, incubation and acceleration, public programmes, strategy, entrepreneurship, and impact investment.
Irene’s greatest strength lies in her ability to translate complex ideas into clear, practical steps, inspiring stakeholders to work together. With a PhD in Architecture, a Master’s in European Affairs, an MBA in The Next Economy, and a degree in Industrial Sociology, Irene is a curious professional with a strong commitment to lifelong learning and to the causes that matter most to her.
She is currently Head of Business Development in Quantum Technologies, helping industry reimagine how they tackle their problems.
