PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. Master in Cultural Heritage Management from the University of Alcalá and Master in Business Innovation from Deusto Business School.

Throughout her professional career she has been working in RTD in public and private entities in the construction sector, although mainly in technology centres.

She has held various positions of responsibility at Tecnalia, and is currently the Technology Director of the Energy, Climate and Urban Transition Unit, which comprises more than 400 researchers working on this important challenge.

As a researcher, she has made more than 70 publications and participations in conferences and has coordinated 25 Research Projects. She has been part of the Organising/Scientific Committee of 15 international congresses and is a member of the Scientific Committee of 3 ISI journals specialised in construction.

She is vice-president of the Presidium of the European Construction Technology Platform, member of the Board of Trustees of the Spanish Construction Technology Platform and of the Board of Trustees of the Santa María La Real Foundation and belongs to the Advisory Board of the Join Programming Initiative Cultural Heritage.

She has been evaluator of R+D+i programmes of the European Commission, and Ministries of Science and Technology of Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Belgium and Malta, in the areas related to Sustainable Construction.
