Technical Engineer in Industrial Electronics, Engineer in Automation and Industrial Electronics from the University of the Basque Country and master’s degree in systems and Control Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid. He worked at Ulma Packaging Technology Centre for 12 years, providing technical support to the machinery and engineering manufacturing lines through the development of robotised industrial solutions aimed at product detection, analysis and handling in sectors such as food and medical. Since 2016, he has been working as a Research and Development Project Engineer at TECNALIA within the Computer Vision group. Within this area, he has mainly developed industrial applications for the quality control of cast, forged, plastic and chromed parts. He has also participated in international multidisciplinary projects for innovation in the surface analysis of new materials for additive manufacturing. The technologies covered include 2D image and 3D image analysis, deflectometry, X-ray, OCT and terahertz, through the implementation of machine vision algorithms, machine learning techniques for detection and classification using regression models, SVM or neural networks, as well as segmentation technology based on Deep Learning. He also has experience in industrial project management for sectors such as food, steel and construction.
