Mechanical Industrial Engineer from the School of Engineering of Bilbao (EHU-UPV) in 2002. Since 2004, he has worked in the Mechanics Unit of Fundación Labein (currently Tecnalia) on IoT and Ambient Intelligence projects to improve post-sales support in SMEs. Until 2016, he was a researcher in the Regional Development and Innovation Management Unit (DR-GI) at Tecnalia. Since 2016, he has been working in the digital construction area at TECU (Buildings and Infrastructures), researching IoT/AI/BIM/Big Data solutions and architectures for collaborative knowledge management systems in the AEC industry. Currently, he implements digital twins of buildings and infrastructures and applies embedded AI to ensure data quality in energy efficiency and structural monitoring use cases.
