Jose Luis Outón Méndez holds a PhD in Computer Engineering. After graduating in Technical Engineering in Computer Systems from the UPV/EHU in 2010 and later in Advanced Engineering in Computer Science in 2013, he obtained the master's degree in "Computational Engineering and Intelligent Systems" also from the UPV/EHU (2015). Since 2013 he has been part of Tecnalia and is currently a member of the area called Production Means and Robotics, in the Industry and Mobility Operating Unit. He has been involved in multiple industrial R&D projects where his main activity focuses on the development of projects related to autonomous navigation in hybrid and unstructured environments using 2D and 3D perception systems. He currently leads research projects to provide solutions to multiple industrial sectors.
