Mechanical Industrial Engineer from the “Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales y de Telecomunicaciones de Bilbao” (1988). He holds a Master's degree in Robotics and Automation, taught by ROBOTIKER and the “Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales y de Telecomunicaciones de Bilbao” (1989). Currently, he works as a Senior Researcher in the Industry and Mobility Unit of TECNALIA. He specializes in advanced laser applications (process control, thermal treatments, coatings, multi-material unions, etc.) with various types of lasers, particularly with VCSEL laser technology. He has extensive experience in supervising welding processes (MIG/MAG arc, TIG/Plasma arc, resistance spot welding, resistance seam welding, etc.). He has directed and actively contributed to the development of several patented products for welding process supervision.
