Personal profile

ShortBio

Renewable Energy engineer, master in Artificial Intelligence applied to the energy and infrastructure sector and master in Offshore Marine Renewable Energies. He has been working with the energy planning team at Tecnalia since 2018 on energy efficiency and sustainability projects in industrial, city and regional settings. His role in these projects is mainly focused on the diagnosis and energy modeling of the study area, estimation of energy, economic and emission impacts of climate change mitigation interventions. These models cover the main final energy consuming sectors (residential, services, transport, industry...) and the electrical and thermal power generation technologies, as well as estimating the potential for deployment of solar photovoltaic for self-consumption in cities and industrial facilities. During his time at Tecnalia he has worked both in European projects (such as Drive2X, OptEEmAL, MAtchUP, mySMARTlife, Atelier, AZEB and S-parcs) and in projects under contract, such as the Climate Plan of Malaga, the Analysis of the Impact of Energy Technologies in Gipuzkoa, the Integrated Energy and Climate Plan of Malaga, the Impact Analysis of Energy Technologies in Gipuzkoa, and the Integrated Energy and Climate Plan of Gipuzkoa, the Integrated Energy and Climate Plan of Extremadura 2030, the Energy Plan of the Community of Madrid 2030 and the Roadmap 2050 and the Energy Transition and Climate Change Strategy 2030 of the Basque Country. In the industrial field, he has worked in the development of decarbonization plans for Navantia S.A., Port Authority of Puerto Alvarado and Mercedes-Benz Vitoria. In addition, he has participated in the development of the Enerkad, Tekzone and Geoplan-grids tools and their application for studies of the impact of decarbonization on energy infrastructure. He also has scientific publications in conferences and relevant scientific journals both as first author and co-author.
