Juncal is a senior researcher and project manager in the DIGITAL area at TECNALIA (since 2007). Previously, she worked for the Spanish telecommunications operator Telefónica as a technical designer of IT solutions in the public sector. She obtained a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering (BSc) (EHU – UPV) in 2006. She also obtained a Master's degree in Local ICT Administration (UNED), ITIL certification in IT service management, and a PhD in Telecommunications, specializing in Cloud Computing (October 2022 - EHU - UPV). Currently, Juncal is part of the High-Performance Architectures group at TECNALIA as a researcher and project manager specializing in cloud-based architectures, DevOps, and multi-cloud. Her research interests include cloud software engineering, secure federation of distributed computing resources, and computing resource certification. She is currently the coordinator of the Europep PIACERE H2020 RIA project, SWForum H2020 CSA, and leads the Cloud certification task in DOME, a Digital Europe project.
