Kristina Stemikovskaya, currently a researcher on the Artificial Intelligence team at TECNALIA RESEARCH & INNOVATION FOUNDATION, earned her degree in Applied Mathematics from the Moscow State University of Electronics and Mathematics (Russia) in 2012. In 2014, she completed a Master's degree in Computational Engineering and Intelligent Systems at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). From 2014 to 2017, she worked at a cybersecurity company Enigmedia SL in the role of a software quality engineer, where she managed a team of several people.
From 2017 to 2020, she was part of the ISG Research Group in the computer science faculty as a predoctoral researcher. During this period, she conducted a research stay at the Université de Pau et Pays de L'Adour (UPPA). From December 2020 to May 2022, she worked at a cybersecurity company, Acuratio SL, where she focused on the development of Federated Machine Learning algorithms and data privacy issues.
Currently, she works at the intersection of Health and Machine Learning, specifically with biomedical data, time series processing, decoding algorithms for Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) systems, synthetic data generation, and data privacy-preserving machine learning techniques (Privacy Preserving Federated Learning). She has participated in several European projects related to the Health field.
